Created attachment 109973 [details] Trying to activate the modules after installing the updates of 2011-08-15 After installing today's updates: org-netbeans-modules-swingapp.jar org-netbeans-modules-java-sourceui.jar org-netbeans-modules-i18n-form.jar org-netbeans-modules-form-nb.jar org-netbeans-modules-j2ee-persistence.jar org-netbeans-modules-form-refactoring.jar org-netbeans-api-java.jar numerous plugins like Java, Java Persistence, Java Web Applications, EJB and EAR, SOAP Web Services, Database, IDE Branding, IDE Platform has stopped to work, they cannot be activated. Error message is (quite useless, like most Java error messages): Activation failed: Not all requested modules can be enabled: [StandardModule:org.netbeans.modules.java.kit jarFile: /home/fr/netbeans-7.0/java/modules/[anything].jar] I am running the following system: Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build nbms-and-javadoc-7558-on-20110720) Java: 1.6.0_26; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.1-b02 System: Linux version 2.6.38-10-generic running on amd64; UTF-8; de_DE (nb) Userdir: /home/fr/.netbeans/7.0
Can you please also attach the IDE log file? In general, updating the development builds is not supported, it is preferable to install the new build from scratch.
