(MAC) the branch name should display next tot the git root folder

The branch name of the currently active branch does not appear on MAC OSX. Usually it is displayed next to the root folder of the .git archive. (compare screenshot linux) The branch name which should appear was successfully created through the netbeans .git functionality (git -> checkout revision -> create branch foo) and also is currently selected.

I have compared this to a project with the same sources on the same version of netbeans on linux where this seems to display correctly.

Mac Version with the problem:
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.0 (Build 201104080000)
Java: 1.6.0_22; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 17.1-b03-307
System: Mac OS X version 10.6.6 running on x86_64; MacRoman; en_US (nb)
Userdir: /Users/em/.netbeans/7.0

Linux Version which shows correctly:
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.0 (Build 201104080000)
Java: 1.6.0_22; OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 19.0-b09
System: Linux version 2.6.38-ARCH running on amd64; UTF-8; en_US (nb)
Userdir: /home/tom/.netbeans/7.0

Is Git submenu displayed in the context menu on the folder?
Is the repository listed under Team->Git->Repository Browser?
If you modify a file in the repository, is at least the blue icon displayed on the root folder?

And one more thing, is View -> Show Versioning Labels enabled?

oh dear ...
We went twice through all options in Properties but didn't check that one and for me it was somehow enabled by default.

Really sorry, so we posted you a photo.
