A fresh install of Netbeans 7.0 will not open any project, giving a exception in the IDE.

Broken NB installation. Please reinstall.
Layers seems to be broken.
Why java/project?

This should be a duplicate of an issue fixed by Lahváč. As far as I know he wanted to move the initialization outside of static field.
