Description thyplosion 2011-04-20 08:56:50 UTC
I have the NetBeans main window split in half (two editors side by side). On previous iterations of the editor (ie, 6.9 and 6.9.1) when I open a file, the split that was last active receives the new opened file. However, with NetBeans 7.0 RC2, it is always the left split that gets the new file regardless of which was last active.
This also happens if I drag one file out of the main IDE window (separate editor): a new file is always opened on the left split of the main window. The behaviour of 6.9 is preferred as where the file is going to appear is intuitive.

Strange, for me it works (in a recent Dev build) - it's placed in last active split. Anyway reassigning to platform for further evaluation.
