Created attachment 107567 [details] Screen shot of projects window showing the problem The project window gets into some state where large blank areas appear within the project window. It seems to only be between packages or other organizational constructs (i.e., not between individual files). The blank space will disappear if you close and reopen a particular node with the blank space in it. I've attached a screen shot of my projects window. I've noticed this issue from 6.9 to the latest 7.0 rc2. In the earlier versions, it happened more often. In rc2, it seems to only occur when screen resolutions change - for me, this is when I leave NetBeans open while I'm at the office and Citrix+RDP in via my laptop from home.
I saw that in the past, but can't find the issue ...

Integrated into 'main-golden' Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/07e9d09018bf User: S. Aubrecht <saubrecht@netbeans.org> Log: #197514 - Blank space appears in projects window
Just saw something like this at the top of the Projects tab in 20111209-74a6d3d1f6af, JDK 6u29, GTK L&F; blank space was white (like tab background) not gray; when I dragged the Files window to be next to Projects rather than in the same mode so I could get a screenshot showing the two side by side (since Files was not so affected), the problem resolved itself in Projects. Not reproducible just by restarting the IDE.
