The install works ok. When I open NB 6.9.1 I only see one link in the title bar (Net Beans). If I click About it says version 1.0. I have been successfully using 6.7.1 and would like to upgrade to 6.9.1. I have tried everything except uninstalling 6.7.1. 6.7.1 shows that there are no upgrades necessary. Nothing on the web that is similar to this. I downloaded and installed only the PHP, then deleted it and then tried to install the entire 282 MB package. Still no luck. Mac OSX 10.6.7.
Start the IDE with a fresh userdir (--userdir PATH_TO_NEW_USERDIR) and attach the message log when the IDE shows up (PATH_TO_NEW_USERDIR/var/log/message.log)
Created attachment 107420 [details] messages.log from 6.9.1 install Your post directed me to where I should be looking so I deleted userdir/.netbeans/6.9/ folder. Then I deleted the install of 6.9.1 from Applications. I reran the install and for the first time it asked me if I wanted to import the User settings or preferences (forgotten exactly what was said). I did import them and the installation worked this time. There are still errors though so I am including the message.log file. Thank you.
Your installation is still missing some critical modules. I suggest you redownload 6.9.1 installer and reinstall again. This time run the installation with '--output out.txt' and attach the out.txt after the installation. Then start the IDE (*do not import anything*) and check if it's working correctly. If not, attach the IDE log again.
any update?
