The word "applet" shows as a misspelled word in the new IDE. I would suggest adding common comment terms, such as "applet", "JRE", to the dictionary? Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.0 Beta 2 (Build 201102140001) Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_21 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 17.0-b17
This is not really a defect, but a feature that is not present. I am changing this Issue Type to ENHANCEMENT.
Also, you can create this file and add your own custom words if you like. %USER_HOME%/.netbeans/<netbeans version>/private-dictionary-en_US
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
