In any of the scripts that I write the underscore is not showing most of the time.  This seems to be a new bug as the underscore showed fine before.  This happens with HTML, CSS, and PHP scripts.  I am testing 7.0 Beta Netbeans PHP on Ubuntu Linux 10.10.

Have you modified any of the fonts in Tools->Options->Fonts&Colors or are you using default "Monospaced 12"?

I have not changed anything in the fonts, but it was set to Monospace 15, not 12.  I have changed it to monospace 12 and, so far, it looks like the underscores are showing.

Same thing here, I installed Netbeans 7.0 Beta on my Ubuntu 10.10.
The underscores were sometimes not showing in my Java sources. 
When I switched the font size from Monospace 15 (which was default after installation) to Monospace 12, all underscores were visible.

I am now testing the developer version 201101100000 of 7.0 and the default is Monospace 15, not 12, but, at this time, the underscores seem to be showing fine on this version.  I am also using Ubuntu 10.10.

I have tested on Ubuntu 10.10 with Monospaced 15 and underscores appear to show just fine.
If the problem would still appear please reopen the issue but make sure that you test on a recent Dev build. Thanks.
