precondition:
1) use -ui com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.precondition:
1) use -ui com.sun.java.swing.plaf.windows.WindowsLookAndFeel
2) ui: choose one window MDI mode
3) maximize the source window 
4) open the property editor (right click the source window and 
choose 'properties')
result:
the ide hangs in an endless loop !

I believe this has been fixed in the latest stable release, i.e. NB
3.3. Please upgrade.
