I have found no way to expand the "Update Issue" section of the Commit dialog without using the mouse.

The UI of a tree node handle is also a bit nonstandard. Would suggest a regular checkbox (with mnemonic) which when checked displays the subpanel.

Jesse, would Issue #191399 fix second part of your concern (see attachments there). Checkboxes also are a little non standard when they hide/show significant screen estate ..

No strong opinion about appearance, Ondra would know better.

will make the "Update Issue" and "Files to Commit" buttons focusable and change the layout as suggested in Issue #191399
