Description Marian Mirilovic 2010-10-06 14:35:36 UTC
We need to do following changes :

- rename Version '6.10' to '7.0'
- rename Target Milestone '6.10' to '7.0'
- add new keyword 'NO70' with description 'The issue doesn't apply to the NetBeans 7.0 release.'
- remove keywords '61_PATCH6' , '68_HR_FIX_CANDIDATE' , '69_HR_FIX_CANDIDATE'

or/and you could grant me an Admin role and I'll do that by my own.

Thanks Marco for refreshing my memory, I really remember your boundless support and see that there is no change so far.
So you know (I am sure) that without write access into DB I am not able to do changes as rename version/TM ... actually I can, but manually it will take like several hours.

Marian, we cannot give out DB read-write permission in production other than Kenai operation support members. Sorry. Let's work offline to modify these version and target like I did for you last time via sql if that will save you time.

Thanks,
-Lea

If Bugzilla does not provide a way for an admin to rename a version or TM across all components, and this functionality cannot be added to BZ, then we could create some kind of simple script client that does so, right? Just needs to maintain an HTTP session with a login cookie, and post to various forms.

I am sorry, but I have no idea what do you mean by "Let's work offline to modify these" ? I will not spend an hours with web interface to change something I am able to do in 3 minutes directly in DB.
So again, give me full admin privileges or we will continue in a way : "I will report request" - "You will solve the problem".

As Jesse mentioned, if you do not trust anybody of us to provide us write access (on our own server/DB), could you be so kind and provide us a way to do any of such changes faster ?
Comment 6 leawang 2010-10-07 23:55:20 UTC
Marian, after next production deployment, there will be a BZ form for BZ admin to run queries against DB. You can do what you need directly as an admin. Marco checked it in Kenai revision d031cd1 in 20101008 sprint.
