Description sapanparikh18 2010-09-28 18:13:14 UTC
Hello,
Opening of "options" screen from tools menu is failing. I tried looking at the messages.log but after completing the action this file is not populated neither there is any UI indication of an exception.
Please let me know how can I help, as of now the IDE(both versions 6.9 and 6.9.1) has been rendered useless for me because I am not able to set mercurial home from Options screen.
I will really appreciate if someone can let me know a work around to start using Mercurial without going to the options window.

One more thing, after having this issue in 6.9 I installed 6.9.1 and when I open 6.9.1 the splash screen sometimes show the correct version and most of the times it shows 6.9...!!

Ok, so based on your report, I would say your installation is somehow broken. Could you please install NetBeans from scratch and start with new userdir ?

Please let us know what is the result. Thanks in advance.

I did a clean install of 6.9.1 and it still did not work. The installation finished successfully, and the newly installed IDE did not ask me anything about changing the USER dir.

Ok, so could you please attach messages.log file into this issue ?
It's located in YOUR_USER_DIR/var/messages.log

Have you tried to remove (rename) your userdir and run NetBeans 6.9.1 again?
