Description Ondrej Langr 2010-08-26 10:52:06 UTC
Maven usability study (finding #02):

In some situations the progress indication did not give users sufficient information about what the IDE is doing.

E.g. when 2 processes are running, it is not clearly communicated
(in the study, one participant did not see whether SVN checkout is running because "Transferring repository Index" process was running).

I did a little research on this and I found an old issue #62661 which basically requests the same. Despite common practice, marking this older issue duplicate of this one to keep all Maven usability study issues under one umbrella.

It's already spec'ed out - see the URL link.

Reassigning for implementation, please let me know if the spec raises any question or needs summary (it's a little too lenghty).

Ondro, the core part of the problem was already fixed by Jesse.

I am closing this bug as a dup of the fixed one.

If needed, please reopen this one with more information about what else should be done.
