[ BUILD # : 6.9 updated ] [ JDK VERSION : 1.6.20 ] - click Help->About - mark versioning information with mouse - Ctrl-C - open new email in Mozilla Thunderbird - paste the clipboard by Ctrl-V --> no text is inserted Alternative: - click Help->About - mark versioning information with mouse - Ctrl-C - open new from in Mozilla Firefox (e.g. this one here) - paste the clipboard by Ctrl-V here: Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.9 (Build 201006101454) Java: 1.6.0_20; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.3-b01 System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; de_DE (nb) Userdir: C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\ich\.netbeans\6.9 - mark the text again - Ctrl-C - open new email in Mozilla Thunderbird - paste the clipboard by Ctrl-V --> now text is inserted properly
On Mac it works just fine. On Ubuntu 9.10 the text is not pasted into Mozilla Thunderbird, but only into this application (at least for me it works fine for Text Processor, Terminal, ...) IMHO, this won't be a defect on NB side.
If I copy text from other application (here Windows Explorers's address line), paste works fine on Thunderbird's email composer's body.

Works also for me in Ubuntu
Interaction with mozilla is not ideal. But if it works with other programs, then there is not much we can do, I am afraid.
(In reply to comment #5) > Interaction with mozilla is not ideal. ... but besides other browsers IMHO it's the only app which matters here (copying the build info bug submit from). > But if it works with other programs, then there is not much we can do, I am afraid. I guess there is a spec about the clipboard interface, so IMO it should be clarified, which side is wrong ???
