Product Version = NetBeans IDE 6.9 RC1 (Build 201005242201)
Operating System = Linux version 2.6.32-bpo.4-amd64 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_18
Runtime = OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 14.0-b16

From the tool bar:

Edit -> Find in Projects

From the pop-up window:

   Containing Text: some text

   Options                             Scope

   [ ] Whole words                   (O) Open Projects
   [x] Match Case                    ( ) Main Project
   [ ] Regular Expression          ( ) Selection

Press the "Find" button. 

All results are double.

As a note: In previous versions of Netbeans the "Match Case" was the first item? This
has nothing to do with this issue, it's just a non-consistent behavior from previous
releases.

Could you please attach a screenshot/sample project ?
I'm interested to see what filetype results in double entries.
