Description chunkyks 2010-05-26 16:11:02 UTC
GDB7 included support for a new feature, "reversible debugging":
http://www.gnu.org/software/gdb/news/reversible.html

Basically, it allows you to step a program backward in time as well as forward, making debugging certain classes of problems massively, massively easier

but this feature works on Linux only
Comment 2 chunkyks 2012-07-06 18:46:28 UTC
Only targeting the lowest-common-denominator for IDE features seems negative.

This one, for example, is a big enough feature that it would incentivise me to drop out of netbeans to solve a problem, leaving my "IDE" less "I"
