Description simpatico 2010-05-15 08:04:29 UTC
Hello,

When installing NetBeans Dev 201005132200 I get the sever glassfish-3.0.1-b18 installed, but not apache tomcat, as specified. I installed the 'all' edition.

As written in Release Notes:
http://netbeans.org/community/releases/69/install.html#customizeinstall

Apache Tomcat 6.0.26 is included in the "Java" and "All" download options but it is not installed by default from either of these options. To install Apache Tomcat from the Java or "All" download, launch the installer and select Apache Tomcat 6.0.26 in the Customize Installation dialog box.

Try the .dmg installer. That gives no options of installation to include apache.

Yulia, could you please check whether "Java" and "All" distributions have "Customize" button (I don't remember the exact name) and that Tomcat is listed in the customization panel in Mac installer?

Please attach 4 screenshots (if they differ) - one (for each distro) for the panel with "Customize" button and one (for each distro) panel when user can select/unselect Tomcat. Thanks.

Confirm that "Java" and "All" distributions have "Customize" button and Tomcat is listed in the customization panel in Mac installer. Screenshots are attached.

Yulia, thanks a lot!

simpatico, did you have the same experience with installation or something different? If you still can't install tomcat please attach the screenshot of the same panels where you expect tomcat to be listed (but don't see it there), and please mention the operation system version (Leopard or Snow Leopard).

Thanks, Dmitry

Closing again as worksforme.
simpatico, feel free to reopen the issue if you have different installation experience and provide requested information in that case. Thanks.
