Description Antonin Nebuzelsky 2010-04-23 11:19:28 UTC
Not only NBM Maven repository is hosted on bits.netbeans.org, but with 6.9 beta also installers and UC content is hosted there now.

The server is now overloaded and it is not known how long this state will last.

Building Maven NetBeans RCP Application in the IDE is dependent on working and accessible artifacts from the maven repository on bits.netbeans.org.

Today it fails with

  Error getting POM for 'org.netbeans.modules:org-netbeans-core-windows'
from the repository: Error transferring file: Connection timed out

If there is any way to make the maven repo accessible with a priority over downloads from the server, we should do it.

I have updated the apache configuration so it can now handle more clients.

The apache config didn't have sufficient MaxClients set

Log said: [error] server reached MaxClients setting, consider raising the MaxClients setting

At this moment the download pages are more responsive. I will keep en eye on the Apache log and fiddle the config more if needed.

We moved away from bits.netbeans.org to better location at dlc.sun.com (which was original location anyway)

Closing.
