Product Version = NetBeans IDE 6.9 Beta (Build 201004182356)
Operating System = Linux version 2.6.31-17-generic running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_20
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 16.3-b01

... this is wrong at least once user reports and  issues from the IDE, so we know what is the version of the IDE he is reporting an issue from. 

BTW: bugzilla has predefined order of versions (administrator can change it), so it would be more appropriate to use such order and preferably select the first one (not the last one as it is right now) by default

We (=NB modules) do not specify the default version. We set the default version obtained from the server (using Mylyn connector). You can see that our preselection corresponds to the preselection made by the Enter Bug webpage.

Try to enter (using browser) a new issue against editor, for example. You can see that the default version is S1S.

On the other hand, we can make explicit selection for new issues in NetBeans repository.

Fixed - the default version of NB issues should be 6.9 by now.
