Doesn't look like php issue, looks like editor issue. Mila, please can you take a look at it?

The -J-Dorg.netbeans.editor.linewrap.disable=true switch seems to sped up it to reasonable level. Thanks to Radek for this tip.

I think the culprit is the same as in 182900. Marking as duplicate.
