Description gliesian 2010-03-19 19:35:42 UTC
Having the ability to undock toolbars from the IDE would be a nice feature.

thanks.

Undocking is done by simply grabbing the toolbar and dragging it outside of the context of the IDE. Reference: Microsoft Word 2003 has this feature.

Not recommended from my point of view for the following reasons:

1) Toolbar is part of the main window. While it is beneficial to undock almost everything, items related to application as a whole (menu, toolbar) should IMHO stay with the main window.

2) The benefit (purely from my personal viewpoint) does not weight up to the costs.

3) Even Microsoft got rid of it in versions of Word after 2003, AFAIK :-).
