Despite being valid email addresses (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5322#section-3.4.1) the registration page prohibits registering with such an address.

We have an issue in Kenai JIRA (http://kenai.com/jira/browse/KENAI-1810) already to track this and will fix it in next planned feature deployment.  Thanks.

Fixed as part of 20100827 deployment to all production sites on 9/7/10.
