Description celafon 2010-02-19 01:14:51 UTC
Not sure if feature requests are to be reported here. If not -- sorry.

My thought after trying to run bugzilla integration in different work environments is that it would be a good idea to have an external browser do the authentication job. In few situations I have found myself unable to do the tasks which require authentication because the site I was working at had a different authentication back-end which involved some redirections to single sign-on pages. Other than that everything worked fine...

Would that be possible to have netbeans open an external browser and grab the cookies in order to be authenticated? In the cases I have seen, obtaining the cookie would be enough for this to work.

Or maybe is there a way to inform the plugin about the authentication cookie? That would be probably easier to solve and enough for users like me.

- unfortunately, the third-party libs we use to access bugzilla have no way to support the suggested feature
- also that this is quite a corner case

sorry
