Description carentrica 2010-01-31 09:07:17 UTC
A serious problem with the GUI editor for Java ME MIDlets occurs if an image is viewed in the editor pane while the current view is 'Screen' or 'Flow'.
When the pane with the image is closed, the Screen and Flow panes are blank regardless of what MIDlet project or source file is opened.
The only way out is to close and re-start Netbeans.
Closing and re-opening the project does not fix the problem. In this case, the pane just has "Loading document", but nothing happens.

I'd help a lot if you provide step by step instruction how to reproduce this issue. Thanks!

No problem. I've just taken the following steps to reproduce the problem...

1. Create a new Mobile Application (use defaults). The project opens in the "Flow" view.
2. Create a folder "images" under "Source Packages".
3. Add a small image file (PNG) to the folder. The image should appear in the "images" folder in the Project view.
4. Double-click the image in the Project view. The image will be displayed in a separate tab in the editor.
5. Now close that tab. The page that previously displayed the HelloMIDlet flow diagram is blank.

Only the Source and Analyzer tabs display what they should. The Screen and Flow tabs are blank and remain that way until Netbeans IDE is closed and re-started.

I could not reproduce it. Could you provide following information:

Netbeans Version: NetBeans IDE 6.8 (Build 200912041610)
Java Version:
Operating System:

You can copy them from Netbeans About window.

Netbeans version: NetBeans IDE 6.8 (Build 200912041610)

Java SE version: 1.6.0_18; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.0-b13
Java ME SDK version 3.0

Operating system: Windows XP Pro SP3

I've just tried the problem again. It's still happening without fail!

I've tested with exactly same configuration and could not reproduce it. I don't know what it is but it looks like there is something wrong with rendering on your computer. Since there is only one report of this problem and I cant reproduce it I'm lowering to P3 + RANDOM.

Assigning to the new owner of javame modules.
Comment 7 Roman Svitanic 2013-04-19 12:44:27 UTC
Not reproducible issue (NetBeans 7.3).
