The kenai login in nb 6.8 si buggy, see this short screencast (i did the
 login on web and on nb with the same credentials, but in nb i get
 authentication failure):

PS. sometimes the login works i don't know why. (but it worked only with online chat disabled)

It looks like there is some problem with xmpp connection.
Please try following:
1. Shut down NetBeans IDE
2. Log in to kenai.com using your web browser
3. You are member of project "Java EE Patterns and Best Practises", right? Please log into project chat. It means click on bubble icon, which is next to "Java EE Patterns and Best Practises" and enter your password again.

Are you able to login into "Java EE..." project chat?
