This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
This has to be recent regression: - go to bug page : https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=162955 -> log in - open another bug https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=162955 -> you are logged-of ... after pushing "Log In" link in the header you are forwarded to https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=162956&GoAheadAndLogIn=1 Very annoying and decreases significantly effectiveness, not speaking about broken workflow. ... using Ubuntu 9.04/FireFox 3.5.5
I can not reproduce that:-( Ubuntu 9.10 Konqueror 4.3.2/FF 3.5.5 on SWAN. Could it be, that you get bitten by the `Restrict to this IP' checkbox? That would happen iff BZ sees you coming from different proxies/NAT-devices?? Right now, I can't do much more without more info:-(
Sounds similar to bug #177472 perhaps?
Still reproducible .... (from SWAN) Marco, what info you are waiting for ?
Marain, I cannot reproduce this either from SWAN using Firefox 3 on Mac. Does anyone else in the Prague office run into this?
Ok, so step by step : - go to http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=123456 - log in - go to http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_id=177520,131957 - now you are logged of - click Log In - suddenly without logging in(means typing name/passwd) - you are Logged In 100% reproducible ....
The issue is reproducible at my laptop as well.
I can reproduce it as well w/ clear cache and cookies in FF 3.0.14 and Safari 4.0.4
I have seen this too in Ubuntu 9.10 and Mozilla Firefox.
Downgrade to P2 since there is workaround for this issue. 1) Use https URLs by changing to https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_id=177520,131957 in teh 2nd link in comments #5. It does not prompt for 2nd login 2) First login via http://netbeans.org/community/index.html at http://netbeans.org/people/login?original_uri=%2Fcommunity%2Findex.html first, then access any BZ links (w/ or w/o https), it won't prompt 2nd login. Please advise above workarounds work for you or not. We have an improvement filed to force BZ login to to to http://netbeans.org/people/login by default, so this problem will be resolved w/o workarounds.
That was actually a design-decision of BZ. The login cookie was originally restricted to secure (https) connections. And it seems the BZ always worked that way. It should not work as you want @ tnb. And hopefully with the next deployment, it will go to nb.org as well.
After discussion with Marco, package with the fix for this issue is already deployed for tnb.org. I checked it with these steps without any issue: - link https://testnetbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=123456 - sign in - http://testnetbeans.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_id=177520,131957 -> still logged in
