I downloaded latest build from http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/latest/bundles/netbeans-trunk-nightly-200911161401-ml-cpp-linux.sh
I can build, but I can't launch  "Profiling Demo" sample in external terminal

Evaluation:
It takes too long for external terminal to start on this host ;(
The timeout that is used - 5 seconds... But in case of this host, launching of the terminal takes ~ 7 seconds. So ... run fails

I can introduce some -J-D param to make it possible to pass desired timeout (as a workaround)... 

But, actually, I'm not sure about why it takes so long to start the terminal...

From user's point of view it can be treated as lack of stability in IDE. So it's very desirable to find an appropriate solution (effective and safe).
