Description Lukas Hasik 2009-10-08 15:56:22 UTC
There should be documentation available for FXDElement in similar ways it is available for Java(FX) constructions. This
info should at least give a brief description of the element and its attributes.
Comment 1 Andrew Korostelev 2010-03-12 04:08:18 UTC
Do you mean documentation in source editor code completion?
Comment 2 Lukas Hasik 2010-03-12 04:58:26 UTC
Yes, in the CC. Adding Pavel on CC as he is the original reporter.
Comment 3 Andrew Korostelev 2010-03-12 05:28:39 UTC
it is supported now.
But shows Documentation window only if description is available in fxd-schema.fxdl
in sdk.
I can volunteer for adding description for most useful elements there.
And then have a doc. writer's review.

Pavel,
do we have any available descriptions of fxd elements somewhere to copy them instead of creating new ones?
Comment 4 pbenes 2010-03-12 05:49:38 UTC
The description in schema is not filled now since I am worried this would make the document almost unreadable.
However there is FXD documentation generated from the schema where descriptions are taken from JavaFX doc are in place. Its draft is available http://xdesign.sfbay.sun.com/~pb209440/fxd/. It will be included either in JavaFX SDK or Production Suite or will be available online - it is not decided yet.
I wonder what would be the best way to use it in NetBeans:
  - possibly the FXD schema version could include comments, it stays hidden somewhere so it should not be problem
  - or the doc generator can be modified to generate docs in some format NB could use
Comment 5 David Strupl 2011-05-16 13:49:58 UTC
Closing all bugs filed against JavaFX 1.x as wontfix. We will support JavaFX 2.0 - please keep opened only bugs against the new release. Thanks.
