Description esmithbss 2009-09-09 05:18:07 UTC
[ BUILD # : 200909081533 ]
[ JDK VERSION : 1.6.* ]

When running a process and the ruby-debug-ide gem is not installed
for the native version of ruby, the user is prompted to provide the
superusers password.

Each of multiple attempts to install the Gem using my superuser
password resulted in an "Incorrect password" error.

During my attempts, for one attempt I double checked and verified my
password as I typed it, and for a second attempt I copied/pasted my
password from an editor, I am certain the password is correct.

My password is mixed case and contains symbols so I am wondering if
the processing is altering my password via filtering or anything
similar.

In any case, I am unable to enter my superuser password and have the
system pass it along successfully to the underlying operating system.
