The NetBeans installer isn't very Mac-like in that it installs the NetBeans application into it's own folder under "Applications". This might be desirable on Windows, but on a Mac it would be better not to install the app into it's own folder: doing so just causes users to have to navigate through another folder to find the application. Additionally, the "Application/NetBeans" folder only has a single item in it - the application itself - so it's not as if there are several NetBeans items that need to be grouped together in a folder. I use Leopard and have an Applications Stack on my Dock. If the NetBeans installed just put the NetBeans application into "Applications", I could launch it from that Stack. As it is I can open the NetBeans folder from my Stack, then launch the app. Not such a nice user experience. I realise that I can move the app out of its folder myself, which is what I do, but since I test Beta releases I install NetBeans quite a lot, and now I just wish the installer would put the app in the right place itself.
