This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
To reproduce: - NewProject > NetBeansModule > Module - NewFile > ModuleDevelopment > Action I added Build action to Menu > Tools; place at end of list - ImportantFiles > XML Layer > this layer in context > Menu > Tools select in Plugin's context menu "Open layer File(s)" Observe that nothing happens These steps work on 6.5 to open the layer.xml file from the NB jar
Forgot to mention. Bringing up properties on most nodes. See that they indicate that node is linked to the layer xml file in the open project, and not the layer file they are actually a part of. However, this behavior is about the same as 6.5.
Reproducible, thanks for catching this.

(wow) Can this be considered for inclusion on a patch to 6.7?
If there will be a patch to 6.7, I'll mark it for inclusion.
Integrated into 'main-golden', will be available in build *200908080201* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/eaf69c5aefdf User: Richard Michalsky <rmichalsky@netbeans.org> Log: #169945: fixing "Open Layer Files" action
