NPE is thrown when the debugger writes to the error stream of the 
OutputInput, the last line of the attached stack trace is 
org.netbeans.lib.terminalemulator.Term$OpsImpl.op_char(Term.java:2539)

I cannot reproduce this bug.
Once again, could you please append reproducing steps? Adding
simple example applet will be also helpful.

sorry but I can't reproduce. Just happen a days ago and in my first
debugging session after install the 10-19 build, but now it's working
ok with the same code...

Hi:
I'm now seeing (I'm in MDI mode), two output windows in debug. One has
only the compile tab, and when I try to active, the window
dissapeared, but is still there, making trouble with redisplay of
other windows. When I compile a second time appears the tab compile in
the output window, but the other is still there. Maybe this have to do
with the XAS exception I get starting netbeans, that I send you in a log

Attached stack traces ends in the same line as in #17644,
so I'm marking this as duplicate.

Hi,
   it does not seem to me that the last exception from log attached to
this issue is the same as any exception from issue #17644, so I am
reopening this bug. Please, duplicate it again if I am wrong.
The last exception from this issue is attached as separate attachment.

Yes, this last exception is different. 
But this issue is about bug in terminal emulator,
and this exception looks like something in openide.text.
So I'll mark it as duplicate again.

Please file separate bug against openide.text
