Steps to reproduce:
- open / create JFrame
- add JTabbedPane
- select JPanel in Component Palette
- select JTabbedPane node in Component Inspector
- from context menu choose Paste
-> NullPointerException arise (attchement)

This means that you right-clicked JPanel in palette and chose Copy?
I cannot reproduce the problem...

Seems that a corrupted component (probably a panel from issue 16805) 
was copied...
