Moving the position of a opened window by dragging its tab to a new position crashes Netbeans. I have started Netbeans from the command line to see if there is a java stack dump when the program crashes but there is nothing. I have also checked the log files in .netbeans/6.7.rc3/var/log and nothing is recorded.
I have confirmed that the bug is still present in Netbeans 6.7 released 29/6/2009
Whenever you dock/undock, move, or drag windows there is about 20% chance (sometimes it crashes every time I drag a window, sometimes I can move 6 - 8 windows before it crashes)netbeans will crash with no error reporting. This is not just a windows problem, it happens in Ubuntu 9.1 and whatever the latest version of CentOS is. Also this bug is still present in 6.8.
Seems to be much less of a problem with Ubuntu vs CentOS. I just moved a ton of windows with Ubuntu and could not reliably reproduce the problem. It has happened on occasion with Ubuntu however.
The original component was probably a better place ..
I have seen this same issue in NB 6.9beta under Ubuntu 9.10.
please attach a crash dump and reopen, thanks
