From the services window when you open a connection you are not able to see the EXECUTE command to open the internal
SQL editor within NetBeans. The documentation says this is the procedure to use the internal SQL editor.

In the version that I am using after opening the Services and make a connection, and then right click on the opened
connection the context menu that appears does not have Execute as an option.
The options are:
Create a database
Stop
Disconnect
Delete
Refresh
Run Administrative tool
Properties

Is this behavior supposed to be in NetBeans and the documentation is out of date or has the Execute option been removed
inadvertently.

I'm not sure I caught the problem but it seems that the execute command is there. See the attachment.

Is the Execute command available with the use of MySQL. Please test and take image.
