In some previous versions of NetBeans, it was difficult to position the cursor at the far left edge of the editing area because if you clicked too far into the "code-fold" area, the click didn't register, but if you clicked too far to the right of the code-fold area, you might end up with the cursor one character to the right of the beginning of the line. Then, HOORAY, it got fixed! I'm not sure when, but it is certainly fixed in NB 6.5 where you can click anywhere to the left edge of a line of code, including the code-fold area, and end up with the cursor placed at the beginning of the line. Unfortunately, that behavior has now regressed in 6.7M2, at least on the Mac OS X version. You now have to CAREFULLY click *just right* to get the cursor at the very beginning of a line. That's VERY hard and time consuming, especially since there's very little visual indication of just where you need to click. It's maddening when you click (in the code-fold area) and nothing happens or you click a little to the right and end up with the cursor one character to the right of the beginning of the line. Please fix this regression. Thanks.

Just checked. The same (bad) behavior applies to 6.7M3 and on windows too. I also changed the platform and OS labels in this issue to "All", even though I have tested only Mac OS X and Windows XP.
Reproducible in a dev build.
P4 imo.
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
