If a slash is added to the end of the cvs root, it escapes the first character of the module name, and causes problems
with the whole cvs, which are hard to diagnose.

It's a tiny mistake on the user's part, but surely could be avoided easily with a hint on the config wizard.

This has already been reported, although without a description of the effects of the issue.
