Not sure whether it is a problem of our hg repository or Mercurial itself, anyway - when I push I get quite regularly:
abort: error: The read operation timed out

However if I look at http://hg.netbeans.org/main, all my changes are always there.

It is hard to reproduce this error.
It usually happends on windows however I've also seen it with UNIXes.

It'd help if you add some debugging output from hg --debug command.
