Description aobrien 2009-01-17 17:28:18 UTC
When the python editor opens an existing file it would be awfully helpful if it was smart enough to figure out wether on not to use spaces or tabs. I have an
existing python app that I'm working on - I wanted to try out the NetBeans IDE and due to the default settings (spaces by default not tabs) all of the files I had
edited through errors when I tried to run them. It was easy enough to fix it but I stopped evaluating NetBeans because of it. I tried it again today (changing
the spaces to tabs for indents first) and absolutely love it!!!!

If the python editor had been smart enough to figure out my application's indention, I would have used it immediately and you guys would have had a new
convert.
