I use smarty template engine in my every project.  When I use smarty tags in my html page the html code after the smarty
tag is not recognized as html code i.e. all the coloring of that code is lost, moreover the code hint popup also doesnot
appear at all. what's wrong ? . The inbuilt functionality of netbeans also shows that there are missing tags in the file
(though there are none) after I include the smarty tag in my html files.

please include support for smarty (the template engine) in the netbeans.

Yes, we have Smarty in our standard distribution. You can take a look here for some base information:

But the support is already much farer so the best you can do is to download our latest Development build and give it chance there:
