Description malfunction84 2008-12-11 19:31:33 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

1. Click a project in the Projects window.
2. Press Ctrl+F to Find in Projects.
3. Under Options, check "Regular Expression."
4. Under Scope, pick "Selection."
5. Type a value which will return results and click "Find."
6. Expand one of the files in the Search Results window and double-click one of the found instances. This will open
that file in the Editor and highlight the found instance.
7. Place your cursor in the Editor and press Ctrl+F.
8. The find bar appears.

Expected results:

The text value in the find bar will match the regex you entered, and the "Regular Expression" checkbox will be checked.

Actual results:

The text value matches, but the "Regular Expression" checkbox is not checked.

The "Find in Projects" and "Find" in editor are the different functionalities so there are no relations between them.
The text value in the Find bar I guess just gets selected text from the Editor.

The result you are expecting not implemented so in my opinion this issue could be moved to the RFE.

Reaasign to the Editor for evaluation.

yes, this is not designed to work in this way, but is is nice tip for enhancement. For 7.0 we plan to unify Find action
(Find in project, Editor find, find usages) so there will be space for implementing this.

Will this include Find in Projects having the "expand/collapse all" buttons?

By this, I mean the *results* of a Find in Projects search.
