[dev sep 12] I customized a module's service types--in this case, adding two new applet executors. Then I uninstalled the Applet module. Now the customized applet executors are visible, with a ? icon, under Execution Types in the Options dialog. They should be hidden. The .settings correctly includes the <module/> tag. No projects module.
Reassigning to Honza.
Jesse, it is as designed. User has the possibility to delete modified settings of disabled modules. If you place mouse pointer over such a node tooltip with description appears. Settings' properties should be unreachable (see property sheet). I've asked UI to supply some better icon time ago. Maybe some bage would be sufficient.
OK, I did not see the tooltip--normally the ? icon means something in the IDE is broken. Please ask Bruce etc. for a better icon. Just as important: the display name of the node is the settings file name, which is some cryptic-looking thing that is not localized and not friendly. It should say something like "<Unused custom setting>" or something like that. An interested user can find details in the property sheet (Info tab). So I am changing to a UI bug.
Jirka promised to supply the icon ASAP.
I talked with Bruce yesterday, the icon will be soon. jirka
