Starting netbeans I get a message about a java.lang.nullPointerException and that I need to report this

Sorry, but this exception comes from the old Java infrastructure, which is no longer supported. Please upgrade to
NetBeans IDE 6.5.

as per last comment, there should be no such code in 6.5+, so the issue isn't valid any more.
