Download and open JXTA project from http://download.java.net/jxta/.
You will see several folders marked with red badge.
Build the project -> some new files are generated and project is successfully built. But red badges are still there. Try
to open some file marked with red badge -> red badge disappears.

And some badges disappear after file modification.
