The NetBeans's UML editor says that an error occurred when I create an attribute in a class, I tried several ways It's looks like it's problem with the locale. The error say that the element's name is invalid. I think it's because in portuguese we have the ~ symbol in não (no in portuguese), which is invalid in UML. I tested on Windows Vista (32 bits) and Ubuntu 8.04 (64 bits). To reproduce: - Get NetBeans in portuugese, or change the locale. - Create a New UML Project for Java. - Create a Diagram Class, then create a class. - Now try to create a attribute for that class.

What name is given to the attribute in Portuguese? I wonder if this is another case where "unnamed" was translated into a multi word phrase containing blanks. Thanks, George
