Should be possible to move toolbar to right/left/bottom
Customer requested this, so pushing it up to P2 enh.
could you be more specific? You can move the toolbars now. Just hold it and drag. It is tricky because you have to drag
it by holding the left edge of the toolbar but there is a way. Or is it about something different?
Customer wants to be able to drag the toolbar into the right side (vertical) of the application and drop it there. Then
the toolbar would be vertical, on the right side, from the top of the application to the bottom, along the right side.
Is this clearer? Currently doing this is not possible.
still not sure if you mean whole toolbar area. And should then the toolbars be vertical or horizontal? Screenshot or an
image would help.
I can't make a screenshot because this functionality does not yet exist in NetBeans. I mean vertical. The user should be
able to pick up the whole toolbar (which is horizontal and at the top of the IDE) and drag it to the right side of the
IDE and drop it there (and to the bottom of the IDE and drop it there and to the left side of the IDE and drop it there).
Is the above still confusing?
The whole toolbar area is what I mean, i.e., all the toolbars within the toolbar area.
somebody should create a UI spec for this requirement first.
1, Toolbar can be placed anywhere? Or will it be allowed to be docked only on "edge" of the main window
2, Can it be undocked?
3, when is it on left/right side should the tollbars in main Toolbars be vertical or horizontal
4, could the toolbar (e.g. File, Debug) be undocked from Toolbar?

Can I also add that the menu bar (the one with File, Edit, Navigate etc) should be a like a toolbar so you can also move it. Having it tied to the top left is a bit old skool. In other apps I usually move all the toolbars into a single line:
[file] [eidt] [view] ... [help] || [edit toolbar] || [debug toolbar]
which really helps screen real estate.
