Description blair_nilsson 2008-10-01 11:03:29 UTC
when a group of plugins are being downloaded, you get a progress bar basicly showing how many plugins have been downloaded.

however, you can see how far though a plugin is during downloading.

for instance, say you were going to install the scala plugin. The first thing it downloads is the scala library, which
takes an age (its big).

if I download it in the background, and check 15 minutes later, all I will see as far as progress is a progress bar
doing the indeterminate time thing (a small bar moving back and fourth). I have no idea if it hasn't found the server,
or if the download broke, or anything.

I'd like to see a downloading "scala library [1/5]" and a progress bar showing how far through the download it is.

Its a small thing, but an irritating one.

This does not belong to Plugin Portal. Reassigning to Plugins Manager for evaluation.

Reassigning to the new "autoupdate/*" owner dlipin.

Good idea, anyone wants to implement it?
