Umm, it looks ok on my Ubuntu. Of course I can do this: 1. start Nb, 2. open Tools-Options, 3. make it small enough, 4. click the editor category and the editor panel will not fit. Btw, Tools-Options remembers its size between IDE restarts, so it is possible that panels won't fit even when you seemingly has not resized the dialog.
I can reproduce it even with the fresh userdir, just start IDE and open options dialog.
I am seeing the same on Windows 7.
The General panel is still too wide in NetBeans 7.2 dev (build 201203120400) on Windows 7.
