I have an enterprise application using Icefaces, Seam and Facelets
(my pages are xhtml files).

If I switch from a Java file to an XHTML file, the application
immediately begins a redeployment, even before any editing of the
XHTML file.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
