Description Ken Frank 2008-08-14 18:58:33 UTC
using nb at 14 point font, in tree model properties editor, the
"Note that every tree .. " line at bottom is in smaller font.

see attached gif though this is not really about being in other locale.

but if user uses --fontsize option, then all font sizes should be at that
size at least. also some asian fonts are not ok at smaller font size
and sometimes localzied nb hardcodes global font prop to 14 pt.

similar issues have been fixed in other parts of nb before.

I have never heard this rule and I don't like it. BTW is this rule in any official document?
The --fontsize is IMHO the "basic" font size e.g. all font sizes should be derived from it, but there's
no reason not to have some less important texts (like the one mentioned) in smaller font.

On the other hand, this dialog is not worth the fight against this bad rule. So, I will "fix it".

I'd thought it was a policy of nb and had come from ui and/or xdesign team.
But if its not official, lets discuss with that team and others to see if its a rule
that makes sense for the general case (vs for case about fonts of some other locales)

can you let me know correct alias or people to contact and I will contact them ?

You can try nbui@netbeans.org or contact anyone from xDesign team (for example Jan Rojcek).
